Adelaide to Doha , Qatar Airways Business Class Review QR 915
The Route : Adelaide to Doha
The Plane: Airbus A350
Details About The Flight: Leaving Adelaide at 10.25 pm and arriving in Doha at 6.00 am
Seats Allocated: 4E and 4F
We had checked in our luggage at a dedicated Qatar Airways counter at Adelaide Airport. Bare in mind you do get an allowance of 40kg per passenger this does not mean you can only have 1 checked in luggage per person ( as we have found out at the check in)
On this particular trip we did not make use of the Business lounge that was available to us. The Qantas Business Lounge is not in the international departure section and was a bit of a walk to get to, and we where boarding in 20 min, so no point to go there.
As soon as we got on board and sat down we where asked if we would like a pre-departure drink which i kindly took up – I got the Rose
The plane seemed to board very quickly and we where soon given our amenity kit and Pyjamas, which you receive on long haul flights on Qatar Airways.
I must say this is probably one of the best business class seats i have sat in and Qatar has won numerous awards for their current business class seats. They will also be upgrading these business class seats to an even better product during the next 12 months.
The plane took off about 10.40pm local time and about 10 min into the flight my wife asked me when we were taking off…. such is the smoothness of this aircraft that my wife did not even realise that we had taken off from Adelaide.
From the above i had taken the traditional Arabic mezze, followed by Snapper.
The Arabic mezze was very nice and refreshing. To be honest with you the Snapper was not the best fish i have eaten on a plane and would probably not order it again. I did not choose to have anything for desert this time and opted for a cappuccino.
after having a coffee, i put my seat into the lay down position and fell asleep like a baby ( yes i can sleep after having a coffee).
I had woken up about 3 hours just before arriving in Doha and ordered pancakes with Banana for breakfast.
To be honest the flight went really quickly even though it 13+ hours. The crew on board where nice and where very quick to accommodate whatever you needed. i did not feel any jet lag and it could be that i had a decent sleep on board but also the A350 was a very nice aircraft to fly in.
We landed in Doha about 6.20am local time and our flight for Zagreb was leaving in an hour so we had to rush to make our next flight ( review of that flight coming up)
